grow through what you go throughHey Babes,

It feels so good to be back doing what I love. I missed my blog, styling outfits, being creative, and most importantly you guys. Unfortunately, I had to take a bit of a break because LIFE happened. I wanted January to be a fresh start to the new year, only for it to turn out to be a start to a horrible month. I was going through so much at once that it became hard to overcome. With all that I was going through I needed to take time to myself. My only focus was making sure I was in a good place mentally, emotionally, and physically. Taking care of your self is very important.

In life we all go through things that aren’t always easy to get through. We have people in our ear telling us “thing’s will get better” but in that moment we don’t think it ever will. We allow our emotions to have a hold on us that feels impossible to shake. I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to not be okay sometimes. Please do not let anyone tell you different. It is okay to be angry, frustrated, sad, and maybe even cry just don’t let those emotions consume you. Allow yourself to feel whatever it is that you need to feel to get through it.

When we are go through difficult times we tend to focus on the negative things that are happening in our life at the moment. One thing that has helped me get through my problems was to feed all of my negative thoughts with positive ones and my mindset began to change. Changing your perspective on things can also help you see situations different. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that our problems aren’t bigger than us, we are bigger than them. Just know that their is always light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going.

I am a firm believer that the only way you get through your problems is by going through them. Yes it may be tough but that is how you truly heal. You come out so much stronger than before. Allow yourself the time to heal on your own. You got to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or else you’ll lose yourself every time.

    I know the feeling lovely. I was unable to blog for a few years actually because LIFE happened. It was so incredibly hard. And when I’m going through it, I tend to withdraw from being online – which is the best way for me to cope.

    I am now on the other side of it and feeling amazing. I look back and don’t feel bad about what happened because it made me stronger 🙂

    Self care is so important. I think we as women just naturally put taking care of every one else ahead of ourselves. I am trying to make a conscious effort to put myself first this year.

    Accepting my feelings and allowing myself to feel them is exactly how I get passed them. I wallow for a little bit, I accept why I am feeling that way, and soon enough I find the strength to move on.
